The 706 RTO bus was the most widespread type of bus on Czechoslovak roads in the 1960s. At the time, the "erťák" had the most beautiful bodywork in all of Europe and was built using a more advanced method than its predecessors. It was mass-produced from 1957 to 1972 in three basic versions.
It should be noted that this plastic bus from the Abrex Toys series is more of a toy than a collector's model. Considering that the vast majority of the population does not distinguish the differences between the 706 RTO and Jelcz buses and has only experienced the Czechoslovak "ertéóčko", the Polish designation Jelcz would be confusing due to this fact, which is why we chose the name as it is.
