The second holy scripture in the Blasphemous series deals with the return of the Penitent in a story that follows on from the original game's Wounds of Eventide DLC, when the Heart in the Sky foretold the return of the Wonder and foretold the birth of a new prodigy.

The penitent awakens in a new foreign land, having been torn from his final resting place, and is thrown back into an endless cycle of life, death, and resurrection, with no choice but to explore this dangerous new world and uncover its long-forgotten secrets.

Hordes of hideous enemies stand in your way, awaiting final judgment at the brutal hand of the Penitent, while titanic, twisted bosses also lurk in the darkness, waiting for their chance to send you back to the grave from whence you came.
