Blaster Master Zero is an 8-bit 2D action-adventure game in a top-down, side-scrolling style.

The game was based on the original 1988 title "Blaster Master" by Sunsoft, with the addition of new areas and bosses, new gameplay elements such as additional sub-weapons, improved gameplay, a more robust storyline, improved and expanded exploration mechanics, and more.

·On the side maps, take control of the SOPHIA III battle tank and explore your surroundings in search of the entrance to the dungeon where the area boss is hiding.

·Once you find the entrance to the dungeon, exit SOPHIA III and fight your way inside as the hero Jason, confronting the mutants that reside within in top-down mode.

·Defeat mid-bosses and area bosses to earn new items, sub-weapons, upgrades to SOPHIA III and Jason's equipment, and new abilities and maneuvers that will also unlock new areas for SOPHIA III.

·Player 2 can provide support for Player 1 as they progress through the game in cooperative multiplayer mode.
