Description
John McClane is back, this time in a first-person shooter. A few years have passed since his work in New York and he now works for the Century City Police Department (CCPD) in Los Angeles. Now you are faced with a new threat. Piet Gruber (the son of the villain from the first film) has stolen a valuable piece of art from the Townsend Art Museum and has also kidnapped McClane's now-adult daughter Lucy, who has joined the CCPD following her father's example. What will happen is probably clear to anyone who has seen any of the Death Trap games... The nice thing is that the game does not only serve you the classic elimination of more and more enemies. Stealth mode allows you to sneak in quietly or even catch your opponent and use him as a shield. Arresting your opponent is another important option for your progress in the game's story. In passages where you can't avoid action, you will welcome a variation on the well-known Bullet Time (here called Hero Time), with which you will be able to effectively (and efficiently) rescue hostages and thus fulfill heroic tasks in the game. Of course, you will have a number of weapons at your disposal, from a paintball gun (for training) to a sniper rifle, and to really get going, you can use most weapons dually, i.e. one in each hand. Vendetta also differs from other first-person shooters in other unconventional elements such as solving puzzles or negotiating, which can result in multiple conclusions to a given situation... John McClane is also able to communicate with various NPC characters who can give him important advice. Die Hard Vendetta contains an original story that takes place five years after the third film and is a great combination of new elements that will affect the course of the game.
