Formula One Championship Edition follows on from previous successful Formula One games that date back to the PlayStation 1. The new Formula One combines racing simulation and arcade gameplay. For the first time, it is possible to change the difficulty of the controls directly in the game settings. By turning on the auxiliary elements, beginners will find it easier to perform a number of maneuvers, including steering, braking or shifting. They also have sophisticated help in the form of tads, tips and tricks. On the other hand, professionals can achieve maximum realism by turning off all these auxiliary elements. In addition to a single race, the game contains other game modes, including a race against time, a championship or online multiplayer. Multiplayer supports both local races and the entire season.
