In this action-packed, epic space adventure, daring adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the target of assassins after he steals a mysterious orb from Ronan, a powerful villain of the galaxy who threatens the entire universe.

To escape the relentless Ronan, Quill is forced to join forces with a quartet of unlikely heroes - Rocket, a heavily armed raccoon; Groot, a tree-like humanoid; the murderous and mysterious Gamora; and the vengeful Drax the Destroyer.

But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the threat it holds that threatens the entire universe, he must do everything he can to bring the disparate group together and in a final desperate fight try to save the fate of the entire galaxy.
