The latest addition to the long-running Japanese fighting game series offers stunning 3D graphics, stunning animation, and traditional fast-paced gameplay with intense battles. As always, there's also great multiplayer and a story mode with animated cutscenes.
The series' beloved visual style remains unchanged, and it still looks like a traditional 2D fighting game, but it's all fully 3D spatial animation with all the benefits.
Xrd has shed the over-complex gameplay of its predecessors and is returning to simple basics. But that doesn't make it an easier game. Quite the opposite. Mastering it will take hours of practice.
The story follows the events that followed the declaration of war by Ramlethal Valentine and the battle against the Conclave.
