Inner Ashes is a first-person narrative adventure game in which the player takes on the role of Henry, a forest ranger suffering from early onset Alzheimer's disease .
Our protagonist, Henry, must take an introspective journey through two different realities to remember why he and his only daughter, Enid, became so estranged.
This a touching story between a father and his daughter introduces players to how Alzheimer's disease affects a person and their memories.
Travel into Henry's subconscious, trapped through various dream islands that represent different symptoms of Alzheimer's disease, and unlock his memories by solving puzzles.
Game mechanics is based on elements used to help Alzheimer's patients to alleviate the symptoms of the disease , such as notes that help Henry recognize objects and remember how to use them, or tangram puzzles that stimulate Henry's memory and allow him to unlock key memories of his life with Enid.
