The unforgettable and beloved character in her artistic version from television stands in an imposing heroic pose with clenched fists at her waist, in a costume created by Queen Hippolyta, with the symbols of America (the country she went to defend the world), with a golden belt, the source of her power and strength when she is away from Paradise Island, and equipped with her reflective bracelets and Hestia's lasso, on a pedestal decorated with the logo and stars that refer to the opening animation of the series.
In early November 1975, the North American television company ABC aired the pilot episode-film "The New Original Wonder Woman", based on the first Wonder Woman story from the comic book, set during World War II. Thanks to the script that was completely faithful to the comic book, in which the beautiful and talented Miss World USA 1972, singer and actress Lynda Carter, was introduced as the main character, her great success led to the birth of a series with 59 episodes divided into three seasons from 1976 to 1979.
In 1942, pilot Major Steve Trevor (Lyle Wagoner) finds Themyscira, a paradise island, home to the Amazons, beautiful, strong, intelligent, and immortal women, where he is rescued by Princess Diana. He wins an Olympic competition to determine which Amazon will represent Themyscira in the war against Nazi fascism and help the Allies defeat the Third Reich. Against the wishes of her mother, Queen Hippolyta, Diana travels to the United States with Trevor in a mysterious invisible plane and, after dropping him off at a hospital, creates and adopts the identity of Diana Prince, with which she accepts a position as Major Trevor's secretary. With her alternate identity, Wonder Woman, she begins to confront the forces of tyranny and terror. From the second season, the series continued on CBS as "The New Adventures of Wonder Woman", now set in 1977, with the heroine acting as a secret agent for the IADC, a division of the CIA, alongside her superior Steve Trevor Jr. also played by Wagoner, Major Trevor's son and Diana's platonic love interest, just like his father in 1940. "Wonder Woman! The whole world is waiting for you..." With those words at the beginning of the series' rousing theme song, fans have been eagerly anticipating the start of each episode, and now fans and collectors alike are eagerly anticipating this future release from Iron Studios.
