Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor offers a dynamic game environment where you will develop your personal plan of revenge and gradually conquer all of Mordor. The game begins on the night of Sauron's return to Mordor, when his Black Captains brutally execute the Rangers of the Black Gate. You become Talion, a Ranger who has lost his family and everything he held dear. A Ranger who has been revived by the Spirit of Vengeance. During his journey for revenge, he then uncovers the secrets of the Spirit and discovers the origin of the famous rings.

The new story is set between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor and the Nemesis system represent a new generation of gaming world. Each enemy the player faces is unique. Enemies differ from each other in their personality, with their own strengths and weaknesses. Enemies develop further with each encounter with the player, becoming their archenemies, choosing a different combat strategy in each fight.
