Description
He's never been good at juggling and has never really tried it, but now he'll have to balance a bunch of really angry Russians, the British MI5, international terrorists and his wife with unchristian long legs. Charlie Mortdecai, a world-class art dealer and part-time con man, joins the hunt for a stolen painting. For his country, for the Queen... and for the money. The painting is supposed to be a clue to a secret safe filled to bursting with Nazi gold. Armed with a loyal butler and a show-stopping moustache, he holds the main trump card in his hand. Himself. "While studying at a fairly decent second-rate boarding school, I discovered that pretty much anyone can win a fight if they're prepared to poke their opponent in the eye," says Mortdecai himself about his style. A nonchalant art lover, seducer of women, occasional rapist and a bon vivant by nature, he is not brave enough to voluntarily embark on some silly adventures. Nevertheless, he does stumble upon them quite often, and in the film, Mortdecai is played by none other than the famous Johnny Depp.
