The heartwarming family comedy Mr. Popper and His Penguins tells the story of Mr. Popper (Jim Carrey), a successful New York businessman. However, as much as he is successful in business, he is not so successful in his personal life, where he has problems settling his relationships with his family and runs away from all the important decisions that he should make. However, one day something happens that turns his life completely upside down. The postman delivers an unexpected and very strange package directly to his living room. A large box, from which six live penguins crawl out, which Mr. Popper later learns he has inherited. You would say that penguins are nice and harmless creatures, but what about them in New York?

But the Gnome, the Gnome, the Captain, the Stupid, the Sweetheart and the Stinky don't see any big problem in that. They like New York, they adapt Mr. Popper's apartment in their own way, so that it resembles a winter kingdom, and they make their new owner a surrogate father. But Mr. Popper is not too happy about it and would rather go back to his old life - without the penguins. Moreover, when one day, after he leaves for work, the whole six set out to look for him in the streets of the big city, they have to solve a lot of other problems. Moreover, during this trip, the penguins are noticed by someone who would like to see them as an attraction at the local zoo.
