NHL® Collision Physics game concept, based on Player technology
The Impact Engine, known from the EA SPORTS FIFA series, allows you to intervene
opponents with hard hits with the potential to change the course of the match.
A completely new engine
The Enforcer will then offer the opportunity to throw down the gloves and enter the fray using
Fist fighting technology from the Fight Night series. Second generation of True engine
Performance Skating will once again ensure a great level of skating speed and its
control. Perfect possibilities of bypassing defenders will allow you to zigzag with one
One-Touch Dekes. In addition, fans will be able to experience the life of a player
NHL in a significantly redesigned career in the Be a Pro Career mode, which has been expanded to include
about elements from events outside the ice surface.
NHL® Collision Physics
It is powered by the same technology as the Player Impact engine in EA SPORTS FIFA. NHL® Collision Physics lets you knock down opponents with hard hits and simulate on-ice collisions in a much more realistic way. Body play is now controlled by the left stick and is significantly easier. Plus, a well-timed hit can change the course of a game.
Enforcer Engine
This gameplay element newly uses technology from the Fight Night boxing series. NHL 14 will offer a completely new third-person perspective of the fight. All hockey players on the ice (i.e., both player and game controlled) will remain active from the moment the gloves hit the ice until the players reach the penalty box.
The entire fight will take place in one uninterrupted sequence. For the first time in the history of the EA SPORTS NHL series, this new technology will clearly take into account the factor of strength and power of individual players, bring new elements to the fist fight itself and overall give this integral part of hockey matches greater authenticity.
True Performance Skating
It builds on the real-world physics-based hockey player skating system introduced last year, with over a thousand new animations. The second generation of this engine improves acceleration, explosiveness in the first steps, quick turns, and sideways skating abilities. Thanks to these elements, hockey players respond better to control commands and their movement on the ice is much less predictable.
One-Touch Dekes
The skills of hockey stars will be given to players through a new and responsive left-stick, single-button dribbling system. Whether a player is a rookie or a seasoned veteran, they will be able to dribble faster, more accurately and more intuitively than ever before.
Live the Life of a Hockey Professional
The redesigned Be a Pro Career mode now closely mimics the life of an NHL player. The decisions you make on and off the ice will affect your career as a professional athlete. You will be able to interact with your teammates on and off the ice, give interviews to the media, and more. Every response or action you make will affect your relationships with fans, teammates, and club management, with a specific impact on your abilities and progress.
career.
