Description
The Škoda 1202 was a classic concept car that was developed and manufactured at the AZNP plant in Vrchlabí and was also a modernized version of the previous Škoda 1201, from which the 1202 differed primarily in its more stylish body design.
The "Twelve-seventy-two" was created as a temporary replacement for the trambus utility vehicle under development, which later became its successor, the Škoda 1203, the development of which was accompanied by countless complications that significantly delayed and interrupted its implementation.
The most commonly produced variants of the Škoda 1202 included the station wagon (STW) and ambulance, as well as a van, pick-up and hearse. Around 60,000 vehicles were produced between 1961 and 1973.
