Defeat your enemies and mark your territory as ink-shooting, squid-like characters called Inklings in Splatoon, Nintendo's new third-person action shooter for the Wii U. Challenge your friends to chaotic battles between two teams of four as they try to cover as much of the map as possible with their color and expand their territory, all while taking on the enemy team and using their ability to literally dive into the colored areas. GAME FEATURES:

Gear up and take on other teams in action-packed battles with the goal of covering as much of the game map as possible with ink. Spray walls to reach otherwise hard-to-reach areas.

By covering more territory, you unlock more powerful super weapons that you can use to attack your opponents or gain even more territory.

The right strategy is crucial. Defeated opponents will scatter in an explosion of paint, which will take up more territory for your team. But choose wisely: If you focus too much on eliminating enemies, you may find that your opponents have already painted your territory.

With the press of a button, you can transform into a squid and dive into a sea of ink, hiding from enemies, significantly speeding up your movement, and even replenishing your ink supply.

Choose from a variety of control options on the Wii U GamePad, including a built-in gyroscope that you can use to better aim and look around.
