In the car stunt simulation Stuntman: Ignition, the player, as action hero Stone, will film, among other things, the high-octane crime film Overdrive, set in modern San Francisco, albeit with references to retro in the style of the seventies.

Six cinematic scenes feature wild chases between Stone and drug dealer Varga, the film's climax. The player will also have to watch out for director Robert Rodin, who is notorious for his tyrannical tendencies and lengthy criticism after every bad shot. In one scene in Overdrive, called Kill Stone, Varga's deputies in an SUV and a heavily armed helicopter come after the hero.

Stone will have to pull off a series of stunts, do 90-degree and 180-degree flips, jump through glass buildings, avoid colliding with two trams, and finally throw Vargas' gorilla car into the air with great force, causing the explosion to hit the helicopter. Even in the final scene of Chaser, when Stone is driving Vargas' modified sports car, the mobster will shoot from the helicopter again.
