Description
Prepare to re-enter the magical lands of Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, launching on November 22nd for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems.

It's the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, the 1991 SNES classic, and features new dungeons, original puzzles, and gameplay elements that open up new ways for Link to explore the kingdom of Hyrule and its corrupted, parallel reflection, Lorule.

The game's story begins with a ghostly threat looming over Hyrule. A mysterious sorcerer calling himself Yuga appears across the kingdom, trapping the seven sages in paintings and dragging their souls to another world. The future of the kingdom is at stake! Link must enter the realm of Lorule, stop Yuga's evil plans, and restore harmony to his homeworld.

During his journey through the lands of Hyrule and Lorule, Link will encounter many familiar characters from The Legend of Zelda games. Among them are Princess Zelda and the elder of Kakariko village, Sahasrahla. However, there will also be important newcomers to the story - the wandering merchant Ravio and the mysterious Hilda, the princess of Lorule. Ravio, who sets up shop in Link's house and gives him a useful bracelet, is new to the series and not much is known about him. However, thanks to his shop, players will be able to buy or rent key items early in the game. The result is the ability to explore dungeons in any order. Without certain items, players will not be able to do without them as they progress through the devilishly difficult dungeons, whether it is necessary to freeze enemies with the Ice Wand or jump out with the Tornado Wand.

With Ravi's bracelet, Link can transform into a painting and walk along walls. This adds a new dimension to puzzles, as by merging with the wall, players will see obstacles from a different angle and will be able to discover new elements. But beware! This ability is time-limited. Make sure Link is not in danger when you start to run out of energy.

Those who delve into the elaborate worlds of Hyrule and Lorule also unlock a host of side quests and mini-games that reward them with rupees and extra lives. “Treacherous Tower” challenges Link with multiple floors of increasing difficulty populated by enemies, while “Octoball Derby” is a baseball-like mini-game.

Those players who can't wait to play the latest addition to The Legend of Zelda series will be able to try out Hero Mode after completing the main game, which makes Link much more vulnerable. A closer look may also reveal a small bonus in the realm of Lorule.
