In TransOcean 2: Rivals, you face a new challenge as the boss of your own shipping company: International competition is much tougher, and the battle for the most lucrative contracts is just beginning. Can you outdo your rivals from across the seven seas and secure your shipping company's global success and reputation?
TransOcean 2: Rivals is the second chapter of the successful business simulation TransOcean, offering days of fun with three single-player modes – Campaign, Endless Game and Competition – or with friends in the thrilling competitive multiplayer mode.
Start your new shipping company in one of 60 ports and start your career with a small fleet of worn-out feeders, the smallest ships in TransOcean 2: Rivals. Choose your port wisely and deliver your first orders to nearby ports to earn your first money. Manage your business wisely, plan your trips ahead and don't underestimate external factors like oil prices or competing companies. This way you will slowly expand your fleet and establish branches all over the world. Can you overcome all the challenges?
With a more vibrant economic system that affects all possible goods, you will also face macroeconomic challenges in TransOcean 2: Rivals. With three types of ships – tankers, container ships and cargo ships – you have even more options for how you can specialize and take your business to the top. Challenge your rivals and develop your own global enterprise.
In single player mode, you can also take on a very unique challenge: Navigate your ships personally in a diverse 3D environment as tugboats go on strike and things get tough. Can you maneuver both small and large vessels around the harbor without taking any damage?
Campaign
You did it years ago. You managed to pay off that pragmatic investor and become the most successful shipping magnate on the seven seas. But then something went wrong! Your shipping empire collapsed and what's more - your old consultant and friend Hiram T. Witherspoon ended up behind bars. Now you live as a reclusive dog sled driver in Alaska. But your desire to help Hiram and thwart the plans of your rival, Lydia Blythe-Smith, draws you back to all the ports of the world.
Can you stand up to old and new competitors and become a successful shipping tycoon again? Because only you can stop Lydia Blythe-Smith's attacks once and for all.
Campaign features:
Multiplayer mode
In multiplayer mode, you play against up to 7 real opponents. If you want to stay ahead of the competition, you'll need real strategic skills. Your competitors will put more and more pressure on you, but your options will also expand: Wage battles for economic dominance in different regions or damage your opponents with sabotage activities. But be careful: Your rivals won't take it lightly.
A game is divided into several rounds, in which you have to complete given tasks, for which you will receive victory points. The player with the most victory points at the end wins. The winning criteria are randomly determined at the beginning of each game. You can set the game length manually. This means that there is no guaranteed optimal strategy, as each game brings new challenges. In one game, you can get the most victory points for the most money earned, while in another you will be rewarded for, for example, having the most modern ship. Will you face all the challenges and defeat your competitors?
