Description
Model completely made in the Czech Republic!
The ÚVMV GT is a prototype of a unique sports coupe with a rear-mounted engine and rear-wheel drive, which was developed in the 1960s under the auspices of the Institute for Motor Vehicle Research. Two Czechoslovak companies - Letov in Prague (mold) and Karosa in Vysoké Mýto (manufacturing) - significantly contributed to the production of the ÚVMV GT prototype.
The resulting prototype was exhibited in the autumn of 1970 in Pilsen and the following year at the renowned Geneva Motor Show, where it was a great success. Even though various parts from the then Škoda cars were used in this prototype, the ÚVMV GT has absolutely nothing in common with the aforementioned Mladá Boleslav car manufacturer, and therefore does not belong to its portfolio.
