You play as Aiden Pearce, a brilliant hacker and former criminal whose criminal past led to a violent family tragedy. Now he's on the hunt for those who hurt his family. He uses his connection to the city's network, ubiquitous security cameras, downloads personal data, tracks everyone around him, and can control traffic lights. Use the city of Chicago as your weapon and exact your revenge.
