The fifth Far Cry installment takes us to the fictional region of Hope County in the US state of Montana. In a once peaceful and free region, we will face a group of doomsday fanatics led by a charismatic prophet. Once again, we will find ourselves in a vast open landscape where we will recruit rebels, hunt animals and race in any vehicle we can get our hands on.

FANATIC CULT
Welcome to Hope County, Montana. This idyllic area is home to freedom-loving people... and a fanatical doomsday cult known as The Project at Eden's Gate. The group is led by charismatic prophet Joseph Seed and his devoted brothers and sisters - The Heralds.

GIVE THE REGION BACK TO THE PEOPLE
Eden's Gate slowly infiltrates every aspect of daily life in this once peaceful region. However, your arrival incites a cult to violently take control of the region. You are tasked with stirring up a rebellion among the locals and freeing the oppressed community from the all-powerful fanatics.

YOU ARE IN THE CENTER OF THE ACTION
You'll be free to roam Hope County, across rivers, land and sky, in the series' widest variety of vehicles and weapons yet. Each location and character you discover will shape your story in unexpected directions. For the first time in the series, you'll create your own character and your actions will affect the world around you.

WHO WILL YOU CONNECT WITH?
As you play, you'll meet a number of notable characters, including Mary May, a local saloon owner, Nick Rey, an aviation enthusiast, and Pastor Jerome, a preacher. You can also hire mercenaries, using the abilities of up to three of them at a time, to help you survive the fight against the Eden's Gate cult.

CAMPAIGN IN TWO
There will also be two-player co-op, allowing you to play through the entire campaign as a team, this time playing as your own character. The game also features an in-game editor, allowing you to create crazy and unique Far Cry experiences with or against your friends.
