EA SPORTS VOLTA brings football back to the streets, showcasing the authentic culture, creativity and unique style of small-sided football. Create your own players, express your style and play a variety of free-flowing football in environments around the world.

VOLTA gaming system:

Express your style with an all-new gameplay system that emphasizes football realism. The new mode is inspired by the small-sided football played on the streets, in the squares and on futsal courts around the world. VOLTA immerses players in the action with new tools like simplified feints and tricks, new spectacular animations and even the ability to use rebound boards.

Football offers countless ways to customize your players to your image – from clothing, hairstyles and testing to in-game celebrations. Create a male or female character and show off your skills across a variety of game modes in VOLTA Football.

Clothing:

Show off your style in VOLTA Football by dressing your players in the latest pieces from shirts to boots to sweaters, and choosing the right tattoos and hairstyles. Unlock additional items by completing in-game challenges in VOLTA mode.

Locations:

VOLTA Football will feature football pitches from around the world, giving players the opportunity to experience the regional flavors of this global sport – from an underpass in Amsterdam to a patch of land in a London borough to a Tokyo rooftop.

Match types:

VOLTA Football is all about customizable gameplay. You can play 3v3 without a goalie, 4v4, 4v4 without a goalie, 5v5 and professional futsal. In addition, VOLTA will offer a variety of pitch sizes and environments with or without boards, giving players the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful game in their own way.

Modes:
VOLTA Kick Off: Take your favorite professional teams to the streets and experience different match formats in a variety of locations. Play PSG vs. Lyon in Paris, the Madrid derby on the streets of Spain, or Chelsea vs. Spurs in a cage in London.
VOLTA World: Build your VOLTA team by playing single-player matches against community-created teams across multiple locations and formats. With each win, recruit players from the opposing team to improve your team’s skills and playstyle.
VOLTA Story: Experience an unforgettable story as you face off against a variety of street football legends from around the world. Earn rewards, customize players, and recruit teammates for your team, all culminating in the VOLTA World Championship in Buenos Aires.
VOLTA League: Advance and relegate in the online VOLTA League. In new player-versus-player formats, your team will face off against other teams in online clans, where wins will earn you promotion to a higher division.
GAME SYSTEM

FOOTBALL INTELLIGENCE unlocks unparalleled possibilities in the field of realism of the game system. Every moment on the pitch will seem more believable: situations with the ball, without the ball and the ball itself. The system is built on three basic pillars: decisive moments (situations with the ball), authentic match progress (without the ball) and ball physics (the ball itself). Thanks to this approach, the user will find himself at the center of every match.

Authentic Gameplay: The fundamental skills of world-class footballers include awareness of time, space and position. With authentic gameplay, every player controlled by the game will behave in a way that takes these elements into account. The result is an environment that creates more time and space and places a strong emphasis on user-controlled play.

Dynamic One-on-Ones: Improved match flow, with a pace that mirrors the world's top leagues, will bring more one-on-ones with an emphasis on user-controlled decisive moments.
Defending by Game-Driven Players: A revamped system of positional play and defensive tackles will allow Game-Driven players to better respond to user behavior. The AI will offer sensible defensive support, further enhancing the benefits of user-driven defending.
Natural Player Movement: Innovations in active movement and positional play make players move more naturally and smoothly than ever before, enhancing the already realistic football movement of all players on the pitch.
Decisive Moments: A series of key moments decide the fate of football matches. From balanced finishing in the attacking third of the pitch to controlled defensive tackles at the back - it is precisely these user-controlled "decisive moments" that will determine whether a match ends in victory or defeat.

Lateral Dribbling: The new lateral dribbling element adds another dimension to your attacking options, giving you the ability to move with greater agility than ever before. Force your opponent to jump on your flank, then outmaneuver them with speed or technique.
Controlled Defensive Tackles: Using an active ball handling system, user-controlled defending adds a range of new standing and sliding tackle animations to the game. The cleaner the tackle, the more likely players are to not lose the ball.
Adjusted set pieces: The revised system will offer greater flexibility when taking direct free kicks and penalties, debuting mechanics that place a greater emphasis on skill, which will bring greater rewards to players.
Balanced Finishing: A rework of the fundamentals of shooting will ensure greater consistency and accuracy in finishing. This will result in more believable shots that reward players for realistic finishing. In more difficult situations, such as volleys from crosses, players will have to decide whether the potential reward is worth the risk of a failed finish.
Ball Physics: The final dynamic element of a football match is the ball. The ball physics system improves the level of realism through new shot trajectories, more realistic interactions triggered by defensive tackles, and physics-based behavior.

Revised Motion System: A revamped motion system introduces more authentic ball bounces and spins, improving the realism of this element, taking the overall gameplay experience to the next level.
New Shot Trajectories: With the new ball movement system also comes a range of realistic shot trajectories, from dangerously falling shots to shots that "float" in the air.
UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE AND UEFA SUPER CUP

The world's most prestigious cup competitions - the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Super Cup - will also appear in FIFA 20 after last year's premiere. Players can look forward to authentic UEFA elements such as official match presentations, jersey emblems, balls and iconic trophies, and a full range of game modes including FIFA 20 Ultimate Team, Career mode, a standalone Champions League mode and more.
