Standing on a concrete and stone textured base, with a stone dragon sculpture on the skulls of ancient fallen warriors, Iron Studios proudly presents the "Liu Kang - Mortal Kombat - Art Scale 1/10" statue, inspired by one of the most iconic fighting games of all time. Liu Kang, the protagonist of the franchise who became the protector of Earthrealm, offers the people of this reality the freedom to choose between the paths of good or evil. Mortal Kombat is a martial arts tournament that takes place between different realms or dimensions from generation to generation. The winner must achieve ten consecutive victories to earn the right to rule the realm that hosts the competition. Conqueror Shao Kahn seeks to expand the territory of Outworld by violently taking over other realms and seeks to win Mortal Kombat, which takes place in the realm known as Earthrealm, the place that humans know as Earth. One of the series' most beloved characters, Liu Kang is an original creation who debuted in the first Mortal Kombat arcade game. Gradually portrayed as the protagonist, Liu Kang became the champion of the first four Mortal Kombat tournaments, with his greatest rival being the sorcerer Shang Tsung. Considered the greatest threat to Emperor Shao Kahn's plans, Liu Kang was an orphan taken in by the Shaolin Temple of the Order of Light, hidden in the mountains of Honan Province, China. Trained in the teachings of the Great Kung Lao, Liu Kang caught the attention of Lord Raiden with his talent in martial arts. Raiden saw the young monk warrior as Earthrealm's last hope and brought Liu Kang to meet with the legendary martial arts master from Outworld, Bo' Rai Cho, to further his development. After several years of training, Liu Kang completed his training and was then enrolled in the top-secret White Lotus Society, a warrior order created by Raiden to defend Earthrealm.
