Created by scientist Bolivar Trask, the Sentinels are giant robots built to capture and/or exterminate mutants. Among the greatest threats the X-Men have ever faced in the Marvel Universe, they have the ability to adapt to the forces of their targets. Used by various villains, groups, and governments, the Sentinels are responsible for the deaths of thousands of mutants in their path. In the 1990s comics, the story in "Fabulous X-Men" #273 split the group into two teams, Blue and Gold, so "X-Men #1" by Chris Claremont and Jim Lee introduced the Golden team led by Storm. The Sentinel #3 BDS Art Scale 1/10 - Marvel Comics by Iron Studios features one of the Sentinels with one leg frozen to the hero confronting members of the Golden X-Men team as if it were the end of leaving the pages of the comic.
