Like an unstoppable train going out of control, the brutal gray, tough-skinned creature destroys brick walls and any other obstacle in its path with a horn above its nose. Wearing a beige tank top with straps around the wrist and right forearm, camouflage pants, and military boots, the ferocious monster carries an arsenal of weapons on his back, including a rifle, a machete, ammunition, and three bandoliers with ammunition and grenades, two wrapped around his body and holding an extra one on his right fist, in addition to carrying a tactical knife on his left hand. However, behind all this destructive potential and his intimidating, ferocious expression, his stupidity and ignorance have constantly led him to failure and landed him in comical situations. TMNT series, Iron Studios presents the clumsy beast "Rocksteady BDS - TMNT - Art Scale 1/10" with his friend and partner Bebop, from the fun duo of allies of the henchmen of the terrifying villain Shredder and the enemy of the Ninja Turtles.
Formerly a Russian human arms dealer, Ivan Steranko, known by the nickname Rocksteady, was a street gang leader alongside his partner and right-hand man Bebop, working for the Shredder. They were tasked with preventing television reporter April O'Neil from reporting on a series of crimes in the city. While being pursued by members of the gang, she sought refuge in the sewers and was eventually met and rescued by a group of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, who defeated the gang in a humiliating battle involving Bebop, Rocksteady, and their allies. After their army also failed to defeat the Turtles, the alien Krang advised Shredder to transform his soldiers into mutants so that they would have abilities similar to the Turtles. With a new plan,
Shredder was looking for volunteers for his experiments, and Bebop and Rocksteady volunteered to perform the procedure, though they were not fully aware of what it entailed. After Shredder stole a rhinoceros and a boar from a zoo, the robbers had their DNA mutated with the stolen animals, transforming Bebop into an anthropomorphic mutant boar and Rocksteady into a rhinoceros, both gaining the immense strength of their animal counterparts but retaining limited intellect.
Originally created by David Wise and Peter Laird for the animated series in 1987, the characters' charisma has ensured their enduring presence in the franchise. Their names, oddly enough, come from two musical genres: bebop is a style of jazz, while rocksteady is a Jamaican musical style, the predecessor to reggae. Iron Studios is also bringing the "Bebop BDS - TMNT - Art Scale 1/10" statue to round out the duo of clumsy villains. The statue, which was unveiled during the February Inside Iron Studios Day show on the official Iron Studios YouTube channel, is now available for pre-order.
