How to redeem gift cards and codes

Gift cards and codes can be redeemed for Xbox purchases and to renew Microsoft subscriptions (Xbox Live Gold, Xbox Game Pass, etc.). Codes are 25 characters long, contain both numbers and letters, and are in a 5x5 format—five groups of five characters.

Redeem the code on Xbox One
Sign in to your Xbox One console (make sure you're signed in with the Microsoft account you want to redeem the code with).
Press the Xbox button to open the overview, then select Home.

Select Store.
Select Use a code.
Enter the 25-digit code and then follow the instructions. You don't need to enter the dashes, the system will take care of them for you.
Note: If you can't find Store, scroll down to Add more on the home screen and select the Store tile. You may need to select See all suggestions. Then select Add to Home.

Redeeming the code in a web browser
In a web browser, go to redeem.microsoft.com.
