Weta Workshop is delighted to have collaborated with Jens Hansen to create The One Ring in gold-plated tungsten carbide. It is crafted to the exact shape, thickness and proportions of the original film prop. The 18k gold plating and substantial tungsten weight ensure that you can own a One Ring that looks and feels just right.

Jens Hansen's reputation as a brilliant ringmaker was one of the main reasons he was approached to create the One Ring for The Lord of the Rings. Today, Jens Hansen's son, Halfdan Hansen, continues his father's legacy and oversees the production of The One Ring.

One Ring is available in sizes 6 - 13.
Choose your size carefully, as tungsten cannot be resized.

Tungsten is a natural element that has many unique properties. It has the highest melting point of all non-alloyed metals and is extremely hard - approximately four times harder than titanium. Tungsten is best known for its virtually scratch-resistant properties. Even in high-impact environments, tungsten will not scratch.

This is a gold-plated product - with reasonable wear, the gold surface should retain its shine for at least 2 years.

Tungsten carbide is 100% hypoallergenic and does not cause skin irritation or discoloration. Tungsten does not react to sunlight, salt water, chlorine, or anything that the body emits.

Tungsten carbide rings require the use of other metals as a "binder." In the case of One Ring, nickel is used. Tungsten binds to nickel molecules and prevents them from penetrating the skin. This is why tungsten is hypoallergenic.
