The fifteenth installment of the highly successful RPG game will revolve around the Lucis nation, which surpasses all surrounding nations in terms of sophistication. This is due to the possession of a special crystal, which controls the aggressive nation of Niflheim, thus unleashing a ruthless war in which even the crown prince Noctis, surrounded by his most loyal friends, will find himself.

The main character is forced to travel across a vast world and fight various enemies, and thanks to a gift from the goddess of death Etro, where he can see a mysterious light, he will try to get the crystal back under the control of his nation. The game will offer an elaborate storyline complemented by a large portion of side quests and plenty of opportunities for exploration in the open world.

When traveling, you can use other means of transport besides airships to speed up your journey across the vast plains, valleys, and other terrains of the vast land. Not only will the weather change, but also the time of day and night. Changing weather affects the effectiveness of some spells, and you will also need to give yourself and your party a safe night's rest, which improves performance and at the same time reduces potential clashes with bloodthirsty monsters that go hunting at night.
