The first pepper to exceed 1,000,000 SHU
At one time, the Naga Bhut Jolokia pepper caused a real stir. It was the first to surpass 1,000,000 SHU. Its potential was perceived as very strong. That's why one day it was crossed with the Habanero pepper. And what came out of this union? The most feared player in the field of heat – the Carolina Reaper pepper.

Considering that this pepper paved the way for Carolina, it's hard to believe how wild this thing must be. The Ghost chili label alone suggests that this spectre will haunt you long after you've taken your last bite.
